Using your CSM Certificate for work
The CSM Certificate demonstrates employability skills
The CSM Certificate certifies that you have the High Performance employability skills that are needed in every sector (manufacturing, healthcare, IT, etc.) and every position, from frontline to manager.
All employers want applicants to be able to show these skills. A survey of WV manufacturers showed that employability skills rate even above job-specific manufacturing skills in what they value most.

Adding the CSM Certificate to your resume
When applying for a job, make sure that the employer knows that you've earned your CSM Certificate!
- Add the CSM Certificate to your resume! You would normally place CSM in a section called "Certifications" (this typically might go after the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections. There, you could put on a line: "CSM Certificate of High Performance (college-level quantitative reasoning and employability skills)", where the CSM Certificate is a link (you can copy the quoted text out of this webpage). Here is an example where Certifications is between Work Experience and Skills:
- Share your Credly digital badge! The CSM Certificate comes with a free Credly digital badge that you can share on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter. For instructions, click here.
- Check back in summer 2023 for a list of employers that recognize the value of the CSM Certificate in their hiring decisions.
